Typhlosion’s Path of Solitude

Typhlosion’s Opponent

Typhlosion’s Path of Solitude challenge is against a level 70 Samurott.

Samurott is a Water/Dark-type Pokémon. It is weak against Fighting, Electric, Grass, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-type attacks, while being completely immune to Psychic-type attacks. Fortunately for Typhlosion, it can learn a super-effective move against Samurott.

Recommendations & Advantages

To successfully complete this challenge, it is recommended to learn the move Draining Punch from Zisu and master it. A bonus benefit with this move is its healing effect for Typhlosion.

Other recommendations include:

  • Level up Typhlosion to Level 70 or above to either match or out-level Samurott.
    • This is recommended if Typhlosion struggles against its opponent despite other suggestions.
  • Increase of Effort Values (EVs) for Speed, Defense, and Attack.
    • Leveling speed ensures Typhlosion can attack quickly.
    • Increasing Defense will allow Typhlosion to take less damage from Samurott’s attacks.
    • Increasing Attack can allow Typhlosion to attack for more damage with Draining Punch.
    • Effort Values can be upgraded using the Grit items. You can get these items by defeating wild Pokémon, releasing captured Pokémon, and other activities.
    • Effort Values significantly increase stats when reaching an EV level of 1, 4, 7, and 10.
  • Master the moves learned from Zisu.
    • A mastered move can be used in both Agile-style and Strong-style.
    • Mastered moves will allow for repeat attacks without the opponent being able to get damage in.
