Tentacruel’s Path of Solitude

Tentacruel’s Opponent

Tentacruel’s Path of Solitude challenge is against a level 60 Drifblim.

Drifblim is a Ghost/Flying-type Pokémon. This makes it weak against Electric, Ice, Rock, Ghost, and Dark-type attacks. It is completely immune to Fighting, Normal, and Ground-type attacks. Fortunately for Tentacruel, it can learn the Ghost-type move Hex through leveling.

Recommendations & Advantages

To successfully complete this challenge, it is recommended to use the move Hex. Maxing out the Effort Values for Speed will also be needed.

Other recommendations include:

  • Level up Tentacruel to Level 60 or above.
    • This is recommended if Tentacruel struggles against its opponent despite other suggestions.
  • Increase of Effort Values (EVs) for Speed and Special Attack.
    • Slight increase to HP is also beneficial.
    • Increasing Speed ensures Tentacruel can attack first at the beginning of the battle and will not be one-hit KO’d.
    • Increasing Special Attack can allow Tentacruel to attack for more damage.
    • Effort Values can be upgraded using the Grit items. You can get these items by defeating wild Pokémon, releasing captured Pokémon, and other activities.
    • Effort Values significantly increase stats when reaching an EV level of 1, 4, 7, and 10.

Path of Solitude Rewards

Much like the other Path of Solitude challenges, completing this battle will include rewards for both first-time completion and subsequent completions.

First-time Completion

  • Path of Solitude stamp for Tentacruel’s Pokédex entry
  • x3 EXP Candy L
