Sneasel’s Path of Solitude

Sneasel’s Opponent

Sneasel’s Path of Solitude challenge is against a level 70 Gligar.

Gligar is a Ground/Flying-type Pokémon. This makes it weak against water and Ice-type attacks. It is completely immune to Ground and Electric-type attacks. Fortunately for Sneasel, the non-Hisuian form can is an Ice-type that can learn the powerful move Blizzard.

Recommendations & Advantages

To successfully complete this challenge, it is recommended to use a regular-form Sneasel. These can be found in Space-Time distortions that occur in the Obsidian Fieldlands. This form of Sneasel can use super-effective moves against Gligar, such as Blizzard.

Other recommendations include:

  • Level up Sneasel to Level 65 or above.
    • This is recommended if Sneasel struggles against its opponent despite other suggestions. You will most likely want a high-level Sneasel if using the Hisuian form.
  • Increase of Effort Values (EVs) for Speed and Special Attack.
    • Leveling speed ensures Sneasel can attack first at the beginning of the battle.
    • Increasing Special Attack can allow Sneasel to attack for more damage when using Blizzard.
    • Effort Values can be upgraded using the Grit items. You can get these items by defeating wild Pokémon, releasing captured Pokémon, and other activities.
    • Effort Values significantly increase stats when reaching an EV level of 1, 4, 7, and 10.
