Drapion’s Path of Solitude

Drapion’s Opponent

Drapion’s Path of Solitude challenge is against a level 70 Bastiodon.

Bastiodon is a Rock/Steel-type Pokémon. This makes it weak against Ground, Fighting, and Water-type attacks. Unfortunately for Drapion, Bastiodon will continually use super-effective attacks and is immune to poison-type attacks which Drapion knows plenty of. It is also resistant to Bug and Rock-type attacks, which Drapion has a few moves of too.

Recommendations & Advantages

To successfully complete this challenge, it is recommended to learn the Ground-type move Bulldoze from Zisu. It is slightly more powerful than Rock Smash, another super-effective move against Bastiodon.

Other recommendations include:

  • Level up Drapion to Level 70 or above to out-level the opposing Pokémon.
    • This is recommended if Drapion struggles against its opponent despite other suggestions.
  • Increase of Effort Values (EVs) for Speed, HP, and Attack.
    • Leveling speed ensures Drapion can attack quickly in the battle.
    • Increasing Attack can allow Drapion to attack for more damage with Bulldoze.
    • Increasing HP will also ensure Bastiodon cannot KO it with a critical hit if it lands one.
    • Effort Values can be upgraded using the Grit items. You can get these items by defeating wild Pokémon, releasing captured Pokémon, and other activities.
    • Effort Values significantly increase stats when reaching an EV level of 1, 4, 7, and 10.
  • Master the moves learned from Zisu.
    • A mastered move can be used in both Agile-style and Strong-style.
    • Mastered moves will allow for repeat attacks without the opponent being able to get damage in.
